Who we are
Gospel Light Community Church is a multicultural church; we are a family of faith, fully engaged, transforming our community and our world. Gospel Light is a family of faith made up of thousands of stories of God’s redemption. We are people who Jesus has lived and died for, saved by grace, in process, and growing in faith together as we simply respond to Jesus. We exist to create a passionate commitment to Christ, His Cause, and His Community. We present Jesus without apology, creating epic moments that help people hear the Gospel. We invite people forward, inspiring their next step into God’s extraordinary purposes. We maximize all we have to see the lost come home.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to teach the present and the next generation that Jesus Christ is the savior and hope of the world. Our main focus is to invest heavily in children, youth, young adults, and families as a first priority. Raise up next-generation leaders, worshipers, and disciples. Our vision is to develop long-term relationships with schools and community groups. Our vision is for strong marriages and investment in the family unit. Our vision is for strong friendships among men in our church. Our vision is to see people saved, added to our number, and integrated into the life of our church family. Our vision is for all of our people to pursue their God-ordained purpose.
OUR MISSION
Our mission statement is “AWAKENING this generation, IGNITING the next.”. It is taken from Psalm 78 v. 1-7, where the writer is speaking about how we are to live for and experience God in all generations. We are to pass on the life-changing story of God to those who are in our sphere of influence and to those who will succeed us in the generation to come. We are to recognize that God wants to resource our efforts to reach out to all people, so they see him for who he is and experience his love in a dynamic, life-changing way. The next generation will be reached with a people commissioned to reach it. We have four broad strategies geared towards understanding God’s heart and mission for his church to reach those around us looking for answers.
INTERNATIONAL GATHERING OF THE SAINTS
A non-denominational online prayer event is held on Zoom every Thursday to Sunday evening from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM. This gathering unites over 150 prayer partners and Christians from across the UK for a powerful time of prayer, Bible study, and spiritual empowerment. Together, we strengthen our faith, share in fellowship, and receive training to deepen our walk with God. Be part of this transformative experience as we connect, uplift, and grow as a community of believers.
YOUNG ADULT FOR CHRIST CONFERENCE
we have various activities that will help train young ones in their Christian development and in identifying their Christian talent
CHARITY WORK
As part of our mandate as a church, we make donations and during the first lockdown in April 2020, we made donations to some food banks, homeless people in need in and around our church community. Our COMMUNITY SUPPORT VOLUNTEER team relieved hundreds of people during lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ministries
women
The women’s ministry of Gospel Light Community Church is the women’s wing of the church. The ministry is aimed at seeking to provide assistance to women and children in the church and nearby communities with laid down plans and programs. Women who join G.L.C.C. are encouraged to join the ministry so they can be part of what God is doing.
Men Ministry
At Gospel Light Community Church, our Men Ministry is a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to uplifting and empowering men in their faith and personal growth.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To serve God by supporting the Mission and Vision of Gospel Light Community Church, embracing the unique callings bestowed upon men by God.
Enhance our understanding and deepen our relationship with God, empowering us through the Holy Spirit to stand firm and act in His righteousness as men created in His image.
GOALS:
Help young men see Christ as the way the truth and the light in today’s secular world.
Help fathers and all men understand and model the roles, responsibilities, and relationships exhibited between God the Father and God the Son and apply them to our lives. Support each other with prayer, biblical principles, and fellowship.
SCRIPTURE:
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17)
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. (Ps 68:5) And the LORD God took the man and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. (Genesis 2:15)
